Mindfulness and Connection
Reflective solitude and community are like yin and yang -- you need some of both to function at your best.
Happy Friday!
We hope you all had a good week. We’ve been enjoying the spring bounty and basking in the sun — strawberry season is finally upon us!
Here at Cocus, we’ve all been pretty busy. Some of us had finals, some of us were moving, and some of us were… graduating! Congratulations to Rena and Anna, both of whom graduated from NYU this past week!
Our articles this week touch on community and mindfulness. While these terms may seem separate and distinct, we believe that they can influence each other quite significantly. Solitude and reflection are essential to our wellbeing, but without a community to come back to, their impact is minimal. Mindfulness and connection are like yin and yang — we need some of both to function at our best.
As we transition into the summer months, we are looking forward to longer nights, rich sunsets, and stone fruit season! Some alone time and reflection, but also some crucial time in our own communities. We hope you enjoy this fresh batch of articles. Until next time!
With love,
